This program has been specifically designed for serious hockey players looking to bring their game to the next level. The Mind to Muscle staff will assist you to improve your skating stride and mobility, shot power, checking and physical play, shooting passing accuracy and awareness, conditioning, confidence, injury prevention and also provide performance nutritional information. This program also offers goalie specific training to address the demands of this unique position.

YOUTH PROGRAM (up to Grade 8)

Learn 2 Train: High Performance Program

This program is designed to improve young athletes general athletic skill development during this very important period of motor development. It is during this stage that adaptation to motor development skills is at its peak. Athletes will train leaning proper technique with balance drills, agility ladders incorporating running, jumping, bounding activities with medicine balls and body weight exercises. The focus will be on setting a framework for development of movement skills for improved co-ordination, efficient movement, injury prevention and body awareness. A perfect choice for athletes aged 7- 12 from any sport.

A unique training program for athletes looking to improve their sport specific skill development. Key components of focus each day will be on speed, power and agility. Focus is on the introduction and development of resistance training sills, training of the aerobic system and further development of movement skills practice. Athletes will receive hands-on coaching and teaching with individual and group exercise prescription while thriving off the energy and motivation of the group session. A major component will be injury prevention and conditioning musculoskeletal imbalances. Athletes will notice a marked improvement and transfer of skill to the ice, field, and court.

This program is guaranteed to make your body more fit and functional.  Training focuses on full body strength, core strength, stability and balance, flexibility and cardio.  It is a true metabolism booster including constant movement and training of more than one muscle group at a time.  This program will increase your fitness level and prepare you for the demands of life and sport while also educating you on a wide range of tools covered weekly.

HEAT High- Energy- Athletic- Training

A no nonsense workout that will challenge you like never before but will offer progressions and modifications that will allow you to progress at your own level. A fun, dynamic workout designed to work every muscle in your body and leave you sweaty and satisfied. Each session will deliver power, core strength and balance with total body strength and endurance. Programs include strengthening for the back, shoulder and neck. This program will find the athlete in you whether you are a weekend warrior, a runner, a competitive athlete or an individual looking for overall health and wellness. Participants will receive hands-on coaching and teaching with individual and group exercise prescription while thriving off the energy, motivation and camaraderie of the group session.

This program is developed for the athlete who wishes to have a customized program in a 4:1 ratio with a coach. During each hour timeframe a coach will have 4 athletes each working on their own individualized programs. The coach will provide exceptional programming; motivation, encouragement and proper queuing to ensure all exercises are performed effectively and efficiently. Focus is on each athlete’s goals combined with their fitness test results in order to achieve optimal results.

Cycle Fit

This program is another great option for anyone interested in a fun and challenging workout that primarily uses the stationary bike to give you a great workout.  The stationary bike is the main focus during this cardiovascular-based program, but you will find other exciting twists to use your upper and lower extremities and to increase the overall body workout.  The coach will offer motivation and encouragement to keep you working your hardest during this intense 1 hour workout.

Post-Rehab. Back Care Program and Back Program

This program is available for clients who have been injured and are looking for a strength and conditioning program to help them restore function and return them to their pre-injury lifestyle.  This program is designed for individuals involved in a motor vehicle accident, athletes injured during sports, clients recovering from surgery, or any work related injuries.  The active recovery of each client is promoted through a variety of rehabilitative exercises, and progressed based on individual successes.  Sessions are one hour in length and guarantee a safe return to exercise through the knowledge of Certified Athletic Therapists.
