Mind to Muscle is strength and conditioning facility specializing in athletic skill development.  As sports medicine specialists, we train athletes and individuals who are seeking both optimal health and athletic performance. Injury recovery and prevention is an essential component of all Mind to Muscle programs.

Athletes who have suffered injuries can enter any of the Mind to Muscle programs based on the status of their condition. Whether it’s PRE-HAB conditioning before a new athletic season or surgery, RE-HAB after an injury, or a maintenance program to prevent recurring ailments, ask one of our Mind to Muscle Athletic Therapists for the right program for you.

Injury recovery and care may be monitored through our Mind to Muscle Sports Medicine Team.

Dr. Shannon Bauman – Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician.
Orthopaedic Surgeons – Assess major injuries or chronic injuries. Clients can be booked with one of our specialists with a referral from their family physician, or Dr. Bauman.
Athletic Therapists – Certified Athletic Therapists are on site and available for assessment, prevention, immediate care, and reconditioning of musculoskeletal injuries.
Physiotherapists – available on site for consultations.
Massage Therapists – available for injury care, recovery and wellness.
Chiropractic Care – available for ART treatment for flexibility, injury care and biomechanical correction.
Nutritionist - available on site for consultations and nutrition counselling.

 

 

Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Product Program Key

Mind to Muscle clients receive diagnostic fitness evaluations at regular intervals to identify areas of focus, to provide benchmarks and to set goals.

Back Program – This back program is a series of stretching exercises and strengthening exercises designed by your Certified Athletic Therapist for your medical condition. The purpose of this exercise program is to improve the flexibility and strength of your core, which is musculature essential for your back. Following this program on a regular basis allow you to notice improvements of your posture, work endurance and athletic performance.

Post-Rehabilitation Program – This program is suited for those individuals recovering from surgery, illness, or any type of injury.  Also designed for those people that have daily limitations and want to have a safe return to activity.  This program is designed and executed by a Certified Athletic Therapist, which includes musculoskeletal and postural evaluation, warm-up, conditioning programs, prophylactic or supportive taping, and adapting to the activity and facilities.

Chronic Pain Program– A specialized pain program with a focus on helping people regain their normal daily function and to manage chronic pain symptoms.

HEAT Program – High Energy Athletic Training is designed to provide a comprehensive strength and conditioning program. This program improves flexibility and focuses on core stability for neck and back maintenance. Your fitness will be improved utilizing carefully designed strength and conditioning techniques for whole body wellness, prevention and optimal health.

Burn and Learn Program – This program will ensure you become fit, functional and direct you toward your optimal health.  Clients will learn how to improve their flexibility, proper nutritional habits, injury care and recovery, total fitness and wellness. Education is provided on sports medicine topics that improve your physical being.
