How a player trains in the off-season has a significant impact on their ability to compete on the ice. Athletes, coaches and parents should view the off-season as the most important time to improve all elements of the game. Mind to Muscle's Summer Hockey Program is guaranteed to take your game to the next level by improving your strength, power, speed, acceleration mobility and flexibility. All sessions are 1-hour in length with our strength and conditioning coaches who will deliver exceptional instruction, intensity, and motivation to ensure each athlete reaches their goals. Pro options are available for 1.5 hour sessions.

Mind to Muscle's Summer Hockey Training Program will take your game to the next level through our Sport Periodization System where you will see MEASURED IMPROVEMENTS in your strength, power, speed, acceleration, agility and coordination.

THE MIND TO MUSCLE SYSTEM

Our high caliber coaching team at Mind to MuscleTM consists of Certified Athletic Therapists, Kinesiologists, Nutritionists, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialists and Coaches. Our integrated approach elevates each player’s performance through our specialized 10 point system. Fitness testing will provide you with MEASURED RESULTS to ensure you reach all of your goals. We measure you at the beginning and completion of the program. You will see how much you have improved and how you performed vs. your class benchmark.

OUR 10 POINT APPROACH TO: Building a better Athlete

  1. SKATING STRIDE AND MOBILITY: Develop a longer, more powerful and efficient stride along with agility and mobility through our combination strength, power, SAQ and plyometrics program
  2. SHOT POWER: Develop a stronger, more powerful shot with improved lower body strength and rotational core power.
  3. THE PHYSICAL GAME: Become a force on the ice by developing greater total body strength and power.
  4. SHOOTING, PASSING ACCURACY & AWARENESS: Better visual awareness and acuity through our system of complex movement/co-ordination drills.
  5. IMPROVED CONDITIONING: Our off ice-conditioning program will keep you performing at full speed longer and more often, by improving your endurance and recovery.
  6. INJURY PREVENTION: Help prevent injuries by correcting muscle imbalances, developing co-ordination, stability and improving dynamic flexibility. Included in your program fee is a weekly Yoga session.
  7. PERFORMANCE NUTRITION: Our Nutrition Seminar will highlight our expertise in nutrition will provide you with the information you need to develop your personal nutrition plan for optional performance.
  8. CONFIDENCE BUILDING: Athletes will be encouraged to progress at their own pace, as they develop confidence in a fun and comfortable group atmosphere.
  9. LEARNING TO FOCUS: Our Psychology of the Sport Seminar will help you frame your mind for the big game.
  10. GOALIE SPECIFIC TRAINING: To address the unique demands of the position including flexibility, lateral mobility, hand eye coordination and explosive quickness.
