The 11th Annual Mind to Muscle Cup was our biggest and most successful event to date, bringing together athletes, families, local businesses, and the Barrie community for an unforgettable evening of hockey, giving back, and community spirit.
Held at Allandale Recreation Centre, this year's event showcased an incredible lineup of local talent, including players from the NHL, AHL, ECHL, OHL, NCAA, U SPORTS, the Finnish Liiga, and the DEL. More importantly, it demonstrated what can happen when a community comes together for a special cause.
A Record-Breaking Year
This year's Mind to Muscle Cup surpassed all previous years in both attendance and community support. The arena was filled with fans of all ages, creating an incredible atmosphere from puck drop to the final whistle.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and supported the event, we were able to raise:
- 🥫 1,107 lbs of non-perishable food
- 🍽️ 1,526 meals provided
- 💙 $275 raised for the Barrie Food Bank
These contributions will directly support local families and individuals facing food insecurity throughout our community.
Community Support Makes It Possible
The Mind to Muscle Cup continues to grow with the amazing support from our partners, sponsors, volunteers, and fans.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our incredible sponsors, including Purolator, Domino's Barrie, Source for Sports, Team Micks (Remax), Orillia Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation, Trainers Choice, Barrie Baycats, Blewett Detailing, SPINCO Barrie, Cwench, McDonald's, and everyone else who helped make this event possible.
We would also like to thank the players who donated their time, the volunteers who kept the event running smoothly, and every fan who attended, donated food, purchased raffle tickets, and cheered throughout the night.
Looking Ahead
After celebrating our most successful Mind to Muscle Cup yet, we're excited to begin planning next year's event!
From everyone at Mind to Muscle, thank you for making the 11th Annual Mind to Muscle Cup our best year yet. We couldn't do it without your support, and we look forward to seeing you back on the ice next year!
